the Founder's Corner - What's it all about?

A Salute to Past Presidents of Bristol Harbour Village

I was the founding President. I was followed by Sherman Nelson, Donald Wolcott, Donald Greenhouse, Jim Littwitz, Victor Gagliardi, Tom Schwartz, Bruce Allen, Alan Braun, Mattie Bicknell, Joe Charlton and Bob Belmont

A Dedication

I dedicate this Founder's Corner to our village volunteers....men and women who have unselfishly served our community these past 38 years. We should not take past or present service for granted. As repeatedly noted in the Villager, all residents are encouraged to attend BHVA meetings. The democratic process rules.

My Love of Our Village

I am proud to say that my wife, Helen and I have been residents of our Village for close to 38 consecutive years. Our five children were raised here. They loved the year-round recreational environment and the Naples School District.

Guardians of Orderly Village Growth

As the BHV founder, I worked with legal specialists in the development of our Declaration and By-Laws that govern all of the lands under the umbrella of BHVA.  Until the Village is completed, the Office of the NYS Attorney General continues to oversee annual disclosure requirements by the Developer. In addition, BHVA, its Environmental Committee, Town and State government agencies are all involved in reviewing and approving ongoing development and/or issues concerning cost of sewer and water services. Overseeing these issues is a major and ongoing challenge to BHV elected officials.

I hope that you find both the historical data of this website and the Founder's Library in the Community center of interest. I thank the BHVA Board and its Committee for this high honor.

If you would like to contact Fred you can email him or visit the Contact Information page to get alternative methods.

The Butterfly Story

"I have had so many miracles in my life.
In 1967, when I viewed the cliff property and stood where building five is, I sang
this song.
Often, when I am on my Condo balcony, I sing it again.
"
