Bristol Harbour Village: Pictoral History

An artist's rendition of Building 1 and the Beach/Marina parking area. Notice the structure on the lake side of the parking area. It was thought that the 'club house' would contain a small eating and lake viewing area.

Looking south, before any construction had begun. Can you identify any familiar landmarks?

Building 1 - Work In Progress

Note how the roads have changed since the spring of 1972. The tennis courts were and still are a very important amenity of the village.

Buildings 2 and 3 are in progress and the gondola is complete.

By the Fall of 1975 Buildings 4 and 5 were errected and the marina was in place.

The beginnings of the golf course!

At one time the tennis courts used a bubble so that the weather was never a factor.

Boating on Canandaigua Lake is a popular sport. In the beginning, Bristol Harbour rented sail boats to the residents, four hours at a time.

Who could forget nature's beauty during the infamous ice storm of 1992!
